Oh boy do I hear this It's anger that gives people control of us that they don't deserve to have, and it's also failing to forgive. If somebody does something that harms you physically, financially, emotionally, you have to forgive them. If you don't, they control your thoughts and behavior until you do. Been there, done that, got over it.
You don't have to forget what they did, because if you do you open yourself up to having them or somebody else do the same thing to you. Not forgetting is called experience.
But you have to forgive them otherwise you elevate them over you to where Gd should be.
