Obadiah: (8th century BCE) An Edomite by birth, later converted to Judaism and became a disciple of Elijah. Steward of King Ahab's household. Merited the gift of prophecy after hiding and feeding the prophets whom Jezebel persecuted. His prophecies pertain to the destruction of his native nation, Edom.
