הללויה הללו את שם ה' וגו':

| 2Who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. |
|
בשֶׁעֹ֣מְדִים בְּבֵ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה בְּ֜חַצְר֗וֹת בֵּ֣ית אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ: |
| 3Praise God for the Lord is good; sing to His name because it is pleasant. |
|
גהַֽלְלוּיָהּ כִּי־ט֣וֹב יְהֹוָ֑ה זַמְּר֥וּ לִ֜שְׁמ֗וֹ כִּ֣י נָעִֽים: |
| 4For God chose Jacob for Himself, Israel for His treasure. |
|
דכִּֽי־יַֽעֲקֹ֗ב בָּחַ֣ר ל֣וֹ יָ֑הּ יִ֜שְׂרָאֵ֗ל לִסְגֻלָּתֽוֹ: |
| 5For I know that God is great, and our Lord is more than all powers. |
|
הכִּ֚י אֲנִ֣י יָדַעְתִּי כִּֽי־גָד֣וֹל יְהֹוָ֑ה וַֽ֜אֲדֹנֵ֗ינוּ מִכָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים: |
| 6All that the Lord wished, He did in the heavens and on the Earth, in the seas and all the depths. |
|
וכֹּ֚ל אֲשֶׁר־חָפֵ֥ץ יְהֹוָ֗ה עָ֫שָׂ֥ה בַּשָּׁמַ֥יִם וּבָאָ֑רֶץ בַּ֜יַּמִּ֗ים וְכָל־תְּהֹמֽוֹת: |
| 7He raises the clouds from the edge of the Earth; He made lightning for the rain; He finds wind [to send] out of His treasuries. |

זמַֽעֲלֶ֣ה נְשִׂאִים֘ מִקְצֵ֪ה הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ בְּרָקִ֣ים לַמָּטָ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה מ֥וֹצֵא ר֜֗וּחַ מֵאֽוֹצְרוֹתָֽיו: |
| He made lightning for the rain: They are the flashes in the sky, that flash and lighten before the rain; esloyde, esluyde, esludes, esloisdes, aleydonz in Old French. |

ברקים למטר עשה:
הם זהרורי הרקיע המבריקים ומאירים לפני המטר שקורין אשליילד"ש בלע"ז:

| He finds: Heb. מוצא, an expression of finding. i.e., He prepared a treasury for the wind, and there they are accessible to Him to send them on His mission. |

| 8He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, from man to beast. |
|
חשֶֽׁהִכָּה בְּכוֹרֵ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם מֵֽ֜אָדָ֗ם עַד־בְּהֵמָֽה: |
| 9He sent signs and wonders in the midst of Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants. |
|
טשָׁלַ֚ח | אוֹתֹ֣ת וּ֖מֹֽפְתִים בְּתוֹכֵ֣כִי מִצְרָ֑יִם בְּ֜פַרְעֹ֗ה וּבְכָל־עֲבָדָֽיו: |

| 10He struck down great nations and slew mighty kings. |

ישֶֽׁהִכָּה גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֑ים וְ֜הָרַ֗ג מְלָכִ֥ים עֲצוּמִֽים: |
| 11Sihon the king of the Amorites and Og the king of the Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan. |
|
יאלְסִיח֚וֹן | מֶ֚לֶךְ הָֽאֱמֹרִ֗י וּ֖לְעוֹג מֶ֣לֶךְ הַבָּשָׁ֑ן וּ֜לְכֹ֗ל מַמְלְכ֥וֹת כְּנָֽעַן: |
| 12And He gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel His people. |
|
יבוְנָתַ֣ן אַרְצָ֣ם נַֽחֲלָ֑ה נַֽ֜חֲלָ֗ה לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל עַמּֽוֹ: |
| 13O Lord, Your name is eternal; O Lord, Your remembrance is throughout all generations. |
|
יגיְהֹוָה שִׁמְךָ֣ לְעוֹלָ֑ם יְ֜הֹוָ֗ה זִכְרְךָ֥ לְדֹֽר־וָדֹֽר: |
| O Lord, Your name is eternal: Like Your greatness and Your authority then, so is it also now, and You have the power to judge and to avenge us. |
|
ה' שמך לעולם:
כגדולתך וכממשלתך אז כן הוא גם עתה והיכולת בידך לדון ולנקום נקמתנו:
|
| 14For the Lord will judge His people and relent for His servants. |
|
ידכִּֽי־יָדִ֣ין יְהֹוָ֣ה עַמּ֑וֹ וְעַל־עֲ֜בָדָ֗יו יִתְנֶחָֽם: |
| For the Lord will judge His people: He will judge their judgment from their enemies. |
|
כי ידין ה' עמו:
ישפוט משפטם מאויביהם:
|
| and relent: He will have another thought. |

| 15The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the handiwork of man. |
|
טועֲצַבֵּ֣י הַ֖גּוֹיִם כֶּ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֑ב מַֽ֜עֲשֵׂ֗ה יְדֵ֣י אָדָֽם: |
| 16They have a mouth but do not speak; they have eyes but do not see. |
|
טזפֶּֽה־לָ֖הֶם וְלֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ עֵינַ֥יִם לָ֜הֶ֗ם וְלֹ֣א יִרְאֽוּ: |
| 17They have ears but do not listen; neither is there any breath in their mouth. |
|
יזאָזְנַ֣יִם לָ֖הֶם וְלֹ֣א יַֽאֲזִ֑ינוּ אַ֜֗ף אֵ֖ין יֶשׁ־ר֣וּחַ בְּפִיהֶֽם: |
| neither is there any breath in their mouth: There is not even any breath in their mouth like an animal. Now, since they have no breath [in the mouth], he need not explain [that they do not have] the breath of the nose. This אף is vowelized with a “pattah,” whereas (115:6): “they have a nose (אף) but they do not smell,” is vowelized with a “kamatz.” (This is not found in all editions.) |

אף אין יש רוח בפיהם:
גם רוח אין בפיה' אפילו כבהמה זו כל שכן שלא ידברו כאדם ומאחר שאין בהם רוח אין צריך לפרש רוח החוטם, אף זה פתח, ואף להם ולא יריחון קמץ (סא"א):

| 18Like them will be those who make them, all who trust in them. |
|
יחכְּמוֹהֶם יִֽהְי֣וּ עֹֽשֵׂיהֶ֑ם כֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵ֣חַ בָּהֶֽם: |
| 19The house of Israel, bless the Lord; the house of Aaron, bless the Lord. |
|
יטבֵּ֣ית יִ֖שְׂרָאֵל בָּֽרְכ֣וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֑ה בֵּ֥ית אַֽ֜הֲרֹ֗ן בָּֽרְכ֥וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה: |
| 20The house of the Levites, bless the Lord; those who fear the Lord, bless the Lord. |
|
כבֵּ֣ית הַ֖לֵּוִי בָּֽרְכ֣וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֑ה יִרְאֵ֥י יְ֜הֹוָ֗ה בָּֽרְכ֥וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה: |
| those who fear the Lord: These are the proselytes (I found this). |

| 21Blessed is the Lord from Zion, He Who dwells in Jerusalem. Hallelujah! |
