Just like the meaning of her first name, Pazit Babiyan was known for her heart of gold. A hard working mother of three, she passed away on March 31 due to complications related to COVID-19.

Her sister-in-law, Danit Enker, paid tribute to her on social media: “ ... My heart refuses to believe that this is how it ends. ... I didn’t even have a chance to say goodbye. You were a role model to me, an inspiration and proof of all the good that a person can have in them in this world. You welcomed me into the family with a warm embrace, lovingly, and you were always a calming presence for all. You are a true lioness; I know of the 11 days you fought with all your strength to return to your role life’s mission as a wonderful, intelligent wife and an exemplary mother. Pazit, I couldn’t accompany you on your final journey, but know that you are in my heart forever.”

Babiyan worked at a bank, helping support her family of five.

She is survived by her husband and three daughters: 20-year-old twins and a 14-year-old.
