Thank you for this enlargement on a talk Rabbi Akivah Tatz gave a few days ago on mitzvoth -- your thoughts on why breaking bad habits is so hard (because of the attachment bad behavior has with a bod-bonding we have allowed to the wrong impulse). I'm not sure if turning the mind more
deliberately towards the Source of All Being to pray will ever transfer fully after a lifetime of partial
success, but having the words to sharpen one's understanding of why an act may miss the mark (for lack of full attention) is a helpful place to begin again.
