"Every man shall fear his mother and his father.."
With regards to 19:3, "Every man shall fear his mother and father..."
It is very interesting that the Greek Septuagint and few Targum manuscripts reverse the order to read "Every man shall fear his father and his mother..."
The Greek has it ἕκαστος πατέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ μητέρα αὐτοῦ φοβείσθω.."
The Hebrew is surely correct, though it is understandable why ancient translators would desire to change the order- it is unfortunate that they did not have Rashi's interpretation in front of them!
