Here is a thought: the 6 materials the Ephod was made of represented the 6 days of the week.
The 7th material was gold, which sparkled as Aaron walked around in, represented Shabbat, which sparkles compared to the rest of the week.
p.s. And I ain't even a Rabbi ! Lol !
