Yaakov had another granddaughter, Osnat who was the daughter of Dina and Shechem. She probably wasn't one of the 70 since she was already in Egypt (Yosef's wife). Reply

Now that I moved away to Northern California deeper in to the forest of gulus I really appreciate your chumash and tanya shiurrim. Is it possible that another reason Yaakov gave all the treasure he had earned in Canaan to Esau as a way to rightfully purchase what he taken from him through deceit, and when his twin was hungry?
Was Esau not affected by the famine? If he was, did he also go to Mizraim? If not, did he begrudge food to Yaakov?
It's important to note that Yaakov credited G-d for his prosperity and ability to give generously to his brother. This suggests that he understood that the true blessings came from G-d, not from his own actions or gifts.
Esau's whereabouts and food situation we can be inferred based on the available information:
- He departed from Hebron and settled in Seir, ruling over Edom.
- He was known as a skilled hunter and "a man of the field", which implies he may have been able to procure food for himself even during difficult times.
