Your legacy. Our shared future.
Illuminate the next generation through Chabad.org. A planned gift costs nothing today, and ensures a bright Jewish future, forever.
A legacy that never dims
For decades, Chabad.org has served as the digital front door to Judaism, welcoming millions of people worldwide who are seeking connection, wisdom, and support. By including Chabad.org in your estate plans, your legacy becomes intertwined with the eternal continuity of the Jewish people. Your future gift ensures that no matter where a Jew is in the world, or what time of day they are searching, they will always find an open door, authentic Torah teachings, and a beacon of Jewish light.
Many meaningful ways to leave a legacy
Most cost nothing during your lifetime, and many carry significant tax advantages for you and your heirs. Explore the path that fits your family and your goals.
The most common and flexible way to leave a legacy is by including a bequest in your will or living trust. You can choose to designate a specific dollar amount, a particular asset, or a percentage of your estate to Chabad.org. This option costs you nothing today, leaves your current cash flow entirely intact, and can easily be modified at any time should your family's circumstances change.
How to take action: Ask your estate planning attorney to include Chabad.ORG in your will or trust.
Sample Bequest Wording
Chabad.ORG, aka Chabad Lubavitch Center, Tax Id. No. 11-3587172, is a 501(c)(3).
When planning or writing a will, please contact an estate attorney who has experience in estate planning, and make sure to discuss your wishes with your family and financial advisor.
Your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other qualified retirement accounts are among the most tax efficient ways to fund a future gift. Because retirement assets are often heavily taxed when passed down to heirs, leaving them to a non profit can be a highly strategic choice. By naming Chabad.org as a beneficiary of your plan, 100% of the funds bypass income and estate taxes and go directly toward illuminating the Jewish future, allowing you to leave less heavily taxed assets to your loved ones.
How to take action: Request a Beneficiary Designation Form directly from your retirement plan administrator or custodian, fill in Chabad.org and your desired percentage, and submit it back to them.
You can make a transformational impact simply by naming Chabad.org as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, commercial annuity, bank account (Payable On Death, POD, or Transfer On Death, TOD), or Donor Advised Fund (DAF). This is one of the absolute easiest ways to leave a legacy. It usually requires nothing more than filling out a straightforward, one page form provided by your bank or financial institution, with no attorney or changes to your will required.
How to take action: Contact your bank, insurer, or fund manager to request a "Change of Beneficiary" form.
If you have included Chabad.ORG in your estate plans, or intend to do so, please take a moment to let us know. We would love the opportunity to thank you personally and acknowledge your visionary legacy during your lifetime.
Join the Chabad.org Legacy SocietyWhile Jews will never be the majority of the population, our contributions to the global society are disproportionate. It is essential that we support Jewish causes and organizations meaningfully to sustain education and genuine help. I put Chabad.org in my will and legacy plan because I rely on the brilliant, useful and sometimes entertaining articles, emails and programming they offer. Chabad.org has enhanced my own practice of Judaism, and has deepened my understanding of our ancestors, and it is critically important that our chain continues for our children's children through this invaluable resource.
I recently created a will and included Chabad in it since they are the largest Jewish outreach network on Earth, maintaining a permanent presence across the globe and constantly doing acts of goodness and kindness. Chabad.org is the largest and most comprehensive Jewish religious/educational website. It reaches many millions of people each year, bringing countless Jews closer to Torah day and night. There is no organization more dedicated to living Ahavat Yisrael in action and thereby hastening the coming of Moshiach.
Dear friends, I am planning to include Chabad.Org as a beneficiary in my trust because Chabad believes in & follows through with acts of loving kindness. I consider myself spiritually challenged, yet Chabad always welcomes me with loving, kind & open arms. No judging, just loving kindness. May hashem bless each & every one of you!
