Wow. Love those penetrating insights into the story and how they are applied on a personal level. What's also demonstrated is the number of levels these stories hit upon.

I was especially struck by how hardship is needed until lessons are learned. That's so true. I had to laugh at myself when I looked at the years I spent mired in them. I also recognized that when I finally cultivated the strength to turn it around, I turned it around rather quickly. Seems miraculous, but I'm certain G-d was with me throughout the chaotic years and saw me through from weakness to strength. Rebecca must have been very strong indeed, because she would have needed to be ready for the love and stability that awaited her in her new life, and it sound like she was.

A question arises about the first title of land secured by the Jewish people by Abraham as Abraham was not Jewish, but a Hebrew. For the last few weeks I've been trying to get a handle on the ancient Hebrews. Reply
