Preservation It is very interested the comment that Rashi makes about the preservation system, using the same kind of soil. Seeds develop or grow best in the adequate environment. Im thinking about marrying someone from within your own faith. it does help to preserve in lasting terms what such seeds carry... Reply

Time I once heard the following: In what way is Yosef and Einstein similar. Answer: they both dealt with time. While all the magicians in Egypt tried to interpret Paroh's dreams in certain ways, only Yosef interpreted them as time items - 7 good years, 7 lean years. Einstein, of course, dealt with time in his own way (Heaven only understands what he was talking about. lol.) Reply

In verse 45 Rashi says, "Poti-phera: He is Potiphar, but he was called Poti-phera because he became emasculated since he desired Joseph for homosexual relations. — [from Sotah 13b]. Rabbi Gordon, a" h, says that Potiphar emasculated himself. But the Talmud Sotah 13b says that the angel Gabriel emasculated him.
