Re: Only one blessing This specific blessing could only go to one son. After Yaakov had received, Esau could only receive a different, lesser blessing. Reply
Only one blessing I have always wondered why Yitzak only had one blessing, when he had two sons. Especially when he believed that both sons were righteous. So I have to wonder if he really only had one blessing, or if he chose not to give Esau the blessing he had planned for Yaakov because it was not appropriate for Esau. If so, I have to wonder how he had intended to bless Yaakov. Is there any reference to this idea from the sages? Reply

They should be said verbally, out loud. They could be said quietly but read with your mouth in addition to your eyes.
