Investors in People, a United Kingdom semi-governmental organization dedicated to improving performance in businesses in both the public and private sectors, awarded Vista Training – a Chabad-Lubavitch run provider of vocational training for adults and adolescents in North London – for its “dedication to supporting the community.”

Directed by Hindy Lew and housed in the new Lubavitch Children’s Centre building, Vista Training was established in 1993 to help residents of Hackney and Haringey adjust to the workplace through the acquisition of crucial skills. Among its clients are school drop-outs, mothers returning to work, and young grandparents.

Originally geared to help students learn basic computer skills, Vista’s courses now include advanced computer skills such as image editing. Courses on childcare are also available, from basic childcare to class management.

“Reviews such as Vista Training are few and far between for Investors in People assessors,” stated the report. “This is said in the context of the very strong commitment to the valued work that is undertaken by everyone at the Center.”
