When Haman rose to power, he ordered that everyone should bow down to him. But Mordechai, the leader of the Jews refused. Haman was furious, and vowed revenge on Mordechai and all his people. Many Jews were very upset. Why had Mordechai placed all their lives in danger?

But the children knew the truth. They rallied behind Mordechai and vowed to stay with him no matter what.

Their courage and their prayers won the day. In their merit, G‑d saved the Jewish people, and returned them to their land.

As we celebrate Purim today, we have to remember Mordechai’s courage, and the children’s unswerving loyalty to Hashem. And may we merit, as they did, to be redeemed from all our enemies, with the coming of Moshiach Now!
