Every Jew descends from those Jews who were enslaved in Egypt. When G-d freed them, He freed all Jews of all future generations, including each and every one of us. Just like the Seder night is “different from all other nights,” so too, the Jewish Nation is different from all other nations. G-d chose each and every Jew individually to bring the light of Torah and Mitzvos to the world. Clearly then, a Jew should never be intimidated by any obstacle. “In every generation and every day, a Jew must see himself as having just been redeemed from Egypt.” When a person recognizes that a moment ago G-d has freed him from exile, then when he is called upon to fulfill G-d's Torah as set out in His commandments, he fulfills them with the greatest enthusiasm and with utmost joy. |
