Event Date: 18 Tishrei 5750 - October 17, 1989

Every Jewish boy and girl is chosen by G-d to be His “soldier”. Their duty is to banish the Evil Inclination, and influence the entire world to follow the Good Inclination alone.

The most prized possessions of G-d's soldier are his “weapons”: his or her prayer book, the Chumash with which they study Torah, and the charity box and other Mitzvah-possessions with which they perform G-d’s commands.

G-d Himself takes up the cause of His army. He sees to it that each of its members is provided with all their needs so that he or she can carry out their duty: to study Torah and fulfill Mitzvos with strength and vitality, to be a role model for all those around them, and to reach out to other Jewish children and inform them of their own sacred duty.
