Disc 42, Program 168
Event Date: 18 Kislev 5744 - November 24, 1983
With the Alter Rebbe's release from prison in 1798, he began to teach Torah's secrets in a way that would brighten every Jewish home, and would permeate the outside world. The Baal Shem Tov was told by Moshiach: "Your wellsprings will spread outwards." It was the Alter Rebbe who made the undiluted wellsprings of Chassidus accessible, and whose teachings have spread to every corner of the globe. And this will bring Moshiach. Regarding the Messianic Era, the verse states: "The earth will be filled with the knowledge of G-d as water covers the sea." Torah study will reach such a profound level, that not only will man perceive G-dliness with his physical senses, but even inanimate matter will sense and proclaim G-d's glory. |
