Disc 39, Program 155
Event Date: 19 Tishrei 5741 - September 29, 1980
Soldiers spend most of their time training and carrying out missions. Periodically, they assemble at a parade, where their performance is checked, and medals are awarded. You, the boys and girls of Tzivos Hashem – G-d’s army, should prepare already now, during Tishrei, for the annual gathering which will take place on Chanukah. Those of you whose conduct has been outstanding will be awarded prizes. Your records of conduct, as well as the lists of other children you have recruited, will be reviewed. This year is one of Hakhel, when our forefathers would gather in the Holy Temple to hear the reading of the Torah. This may have taken place thousands of years ago, but the obligation continues today for every Jewish child to transform their home and school into a holy place – a miniature Temple. Part of your mission as members of Tzivos Hashem, is to encourage your parents to make your home even holier than it already is, and to ask your teachers at school to increase the time they devote to teaching you Torah. |
