Living Torah
Unnecessary SurgeryEitan Ben-David is a businessman and philanthropist living in Jerusalem, Israel. In the 1970s, with his father suffering from a heart condition, they were unsure whether to operate or not. After writing to the Rebbe, they finally received a response: no surgery was necessary. His doctor wasn’t too confident about the Rebbe’s ability to know the details of the case, but couldn’t override the patient’s wishes.
