A Time to Build

The Rebbe addresses a group of Shluchim and their supporters:

We have spoken recently that now is “a time to build,” especially in the realm of Judaism. This is the special mission of every Jew, but especially of those whom G-d has blessed with special means. Therefore, each supporter should work with their Shliach – not as a sponsor, but as a true partner – to realize the dream of owning a local Chabad House building.

If a building plan has not already been initiated, purchase an existing structure; if a building has already been purchased, add on to it. Your activities for Judaism will gain by being conducted in a respectable manner in your own facility. And the buildings should be bigger than your current needs. The empty, unused space will urge you on to increase your communal and educational activities.
