During World War I, Jews in Russia were forced to relocate, and our city was flooded with refugees. My mother headed the committees to organize aid and shelter. Her incredible devotion day-in and day-out has been etched in my memory for all my life.

The entire Jewish People has been “exiled from our land” – every one of us is a refugee. Many countries today allow us to live comfortable lives – materially and spiritually, and the Jewish community today is thriving and growing in its commitment to Torah and Mitzvos. But all this cannot compare to the completeness of Torah, Mitzvos, and Divine revelation which we will have with the true and complete Redemption.

When we truly recognize what we are missing, we will sincerely beseech G-d to “Speedily cause the scion of David Your servant to flourish” – for all flesh to perceive the word of G-d, even a moment sooner.

All Refugees I think the Rebbe's speech to be inspirational. Not only for Jewish people, but to all of us seeking to find answers. We may never know the real reason why some memories are visible and others are hidden so deeply within the mind. His words help me to understand a little bet more clearly. I believe hatred is still among us today and we must continue trying to improve our minds, even if we do not know the reasons why. Reply

Memories of my mother I was deeply moved by teh Rebbe´s memories of the difficult work of his mother. I can testify how much Rabbis´ mothers are caring and a model of holyness and faith. May this beautiful video inspire us all throughout the world to make also a contribution for the benefit of Israel´s children and exiles, at our Communities and abroad. God Bless the Rebbe´s memory. Shalom! Reply
