Disc 186, Program 743
Event Date: 28 Kislev 5746 - December 11, 1985
There are two approaches to Judaism, increasing the good or decreasing the bad. On Chanukah, and particularly on the fifth night of Chanukah, we emphasize the former by adding an extra light on each new day. This is highlighted especially on the fifth night when we pass the halfway point and have more candles lit than not. The lesson to learn from this: By focusing on the positive, adding light, we can automatically diminish the darkness and fill the world with goodness and light. |
