What Is the Purpose of Creation?

According to the statement of the Midrash, G-d created the world because he desired to have a “dwelling in the lower realms.” Yet a verse in Song of Songs refers to G-d’s world as His garden. this discussion of the Rebbe is much too complicated and beyond simple understanding, not sure why you posted it. Reply

in response to Pearl Shifer:

I hear you, and some of the Rebbe's teachings can be very difficult - especially when it is only a snippet of an entire talk.

That being said, there is a wide range of visitors to our site with many different levels of knowledge of Torah and Chassidic teachings - since we try to cater to everyone, we post many different teachings in many different styles.

If you would like, you can write to our Ask The Rabbi service and we can help clarify what the Rebbe is saying in this clip. Reply
