Jerusalem: The City of Oneness

From all the cities of the world, Jerusalem was chosen as the capital of the Land of Israel. The Talmud relates, that when Jews would arrive in Jerusalem, they all “became united as one.” Indeed, in Psalms, it is called “the city in which all are joined together.” And as we pray today for our true return to Jerusalem the arrival of Moshiach, forever, Jerusalem remains important and meaningful, uniting each and every Jew, man, woman, and child.

Is Jerusalem not the capital of the State of Israel ? It should be mentioned also- it is an important fact in the 6th millennium since G'd created the world. Jerusalem's importance and place in the Jewish history is clear, unique and special, but we should not ignore its place in the present and the future. Our past is central and important, because our "jewish" eyes are on the present and future. Past glories are important, but present and future ones are more important , because they can renew our past glories.
Jerusalem united is the capital of the State of Israel since 1967, because G'd , who decides everything in this world, decided so also concerning Jerusalem. Chabbad or no other Jewish vision should not ignore it- even if this Jewish State is not perfect and there is much to improve

Jerusalem is the capital city of Israel.We cannot have a city like Berlin which was divided into East and West Berlin. It must be one city. We cannot wait for the moshiach to come as he might come in 5000 yrs time. Reply
