When the Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, miraculously arrived on the safe shores of America in 1940, he declared: “America is not different”.

Yet don’t the very freedoms for which he emigrated here mean that America was, in fact, different from the Europe of the day? The answer: When considering the Rebbe’s core mission, it is clear that the circumstances and surroundings are inconsequential – the goal remains the same.

Although a Jew finds himself involved in a range of activities in various settings, they do, in fact, serve one single purpose.
