Event Date: 11 Nissan 5733 - April 13, 1973
The Kabbalah states that when the sages of the Talmud ruled on a matter of law, it was a reflection of how the law was applied in the upper realms. Yet this contradicts the notion that Jewish law cannot be determined by “a heavenly voice,” it needs to be understood intellectually, within our reality. So although “spiritual insight” cannot be used to arrive at halachic decisions, when that insight is studied and becomes internalized so deeply that it is now part of his own intellectual framework, it is no longer a “heavenly voice”, but his own acquisition, his own thought, and his own ruling. |
