Disc 16, Program 63
Event Date: 10 Shevat 5741 - January 15, 1981
The Previous Rebbe related that one extraordinarily cold Russian night, he was returning from a meeting to help the Jews of Russia. Even with his fur coat, which ordinarily sufficed, he was forced to find shelter for warmth. Every detail which a Rebbe relates is an instruction: When a Jew is compelled to leave the ‘warmth’ of the Synagogue and Study Hall, and, for the sake of the Jewish community, deal with the ‘cold’ outside world, he must don ‘extra-warm’ garments – he must prepare himself with a higher standard of Torah study and Mitzvah observance. A Rebbe sacrifices his personal life to understand and strengthen the spiritual health of the Jewish People. By closely adhering to his instructions, one will not only remain a warm, vibrant Jew, but one will even succeed in bringing warmth and balance to the outside world. |
