When Ovadia Eli met the Rebbe shortly after his appointment as the Deputy Defense Minister of Israel, he was surprised to hear the Rebbe say that all of the world’s Jews are under his watch, not just those living in the Holy Land. As it turns out, the Rebbe’s words had far reaching effects. (1991)
