At Just the Right Time

Rabbi Yechezkel Sofer relates that when he tried convincing his father to write a letter to the Rebbe, his father was skeptical that he would receive a response. When Rabbi Sofer finally succeeded but no reply was forthcoming, he couldn’t help but wonder whether his father was right. (Mid 1960s)
