An Important Reminder
Disc 138, Program 549
Event Date: 11 Nissan 5737 - March 30, 1977
At the conclusion of every farbrengen, the Rebbe would remind those present that whoever is obligated to recite an after-blessing, should make sure to do so. Rabbi Moses Isserles, known as the Rema, who was the illustrious rabbi of Krakow in the sixteenth century, had a similar custom on Purim. He would disguise himself in a costume and visit the Jewish homes of Krakow, reminding people to recite the evening prayers at the proper time. If that was the Rema’s practice concerning evening prayers, it is even more so regarding an after-blessing. |
