Living Torah
You Can Tip the ScalesMaimonides writes that a Jew must view himself and the entire world as equally balanced between good and evil, and that his every word, thought, and action can have a tremendous impact. In reality however, remaining mindful of this at all times and not losing oneself for even a moment, is a tremendous feat.
You Can Tip the Scales
Disc 136, Program 542
Event Date: 10 Nissan 5733 - April 12, 1973
Maimonides writes that a Jew must view himself and the entire world as equally balanced between good and evil, and that his every word, thought, and action can have a tremendous impact. In reality however, remaining mindful of this at all times and not losing oneself for even a moment, is a tremendous feat. In this talk, the Rebbe teaches that regardless of the weight of our past or the personal limitations of our present, it is quite attainable – if we relive our exodus from Egypt. |
