Disc 8, Program 29

Event Date: 20 Adar II 5749 - March 27, 1989

The Jewish nation’s wandering through the Sinai Desert is a metaphor for exile. Yet it was in this sanctuary, built by human hands in exile, that G-d chose to dwell even more than in the heavens.

The architects of the Tabernacle built it with extraordinary beauty, quality, and haste. This success made it clear to the people that G-d was helping them. Yet G-d still wished to illustrate His presence even more magnificently in a cloud of glory and a divine fire that descended from heaven.

G-d wants us to see the success that is achieved through our hard work. The results of our spreading Torah and Mitzvos to every Jew must be apparent even to the physical eye. The Jew is chosen by G-d to transform the material world into a dwelling place for Him.
