A Tribute to the Rebbetzin
Disc 6, Program 21
Event Date: 29 Shevat 5748 - February 17, 1988
Excerpts from two talks: 1) in The Rebbe’s Home on 29 Shevat, 5748 • February 17, 1988; 2) a Sicha on 22 Shevat, 5752 • January 27, 1992. Thank you to those who have begun new projects and institutions in the Rebbetzin’s memory. Encouragement and request to do even more. The name of the fund should be the Rebbetzin’s initials, which evoke the name of her illustrious family. Kaddish, which is recited yearly on a person’s Yahrzeit, elevates the soul of the departed and serves as a prelude to the great elevations that will take place at the time of the redemption, including the resurrection, when “those who dwell in the dust will awaken and rejoice.” Our generation is the last of exile and the first of the redemption. Similarly, in the merit of the righteous women of our generation the world will be redeemed. The Rebbetzin was educated by her father, the Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn. She merited that many Jewish girls carry her name and are educated in her spirit and by her example. |
