Thirteen Months of the Year
Disc 123, Program 491
Event Date: 18 Tishrei 5749 - September 29, 1988
The Jewish calendar, which is based on the lunar cycle, does not contain just an additional day during its leap year, but an entire month. Addressing a children’s rally in 770, the Rebbe sheds light on the significance of the leap year as a whole, and the special lesson that can be gleaned from our sages choosing the month of Adar specifically, in which the festival of Purim takes place, as the extra month. |
