Event Date: 11 Shevat 5718 - February 01, 1958

During the slavery of the Jewish people in ancient Egypt, Pharaoh’s harshest decree was that every male child born, be drowned in the Nile.

Far from ancient history, this decree represents a recurring test in every generation, when the “Pharaoh” or prevalent culture of that generation demands that Jewish children must be cast into the river from which society draws its sustenance.

In Egypt it may have been the Nile, today it is something entirely different.
