Love and Unity, the Best Medicine

The Rebbe speaks from his office, two nights after suffering a massive heart attack: For certain reasons this talk was delayed until after the Festival... It is, however, being heard now even by fellow Jews who are distant physically, but close spiritually – for the spiritual is what Jews consider most important, especially when this unity is forged through Torah.
Rosh Chodesh Kislev, Lubavitcher Rebbe
Love and Unity, the Best Medicine
Disc 107, Program 428

Event Date: 24 Tishrei 5738 - October 06, 1977

The Rebbe speaks from his office, two nights after suffering a massive heart attack:

For certain reasons this talk was delayed until after the Festival... It is, however, being heard now even by fellow Jews who are distant physically, but close spiritually – for the spiritual is what Jews consider most important, especially when this unity is forged through Torah.

May all Jews be blessed with a good year, with “children, health and livelihood” in abundance. And bring the joy of Simchas Torah with you into the rest of the year – for “joy breaks through all boundaries” – until it breaks through all the bonds of exile, physically and spiritually.

Continue in all the Ten Mitzvah Campaigns – the campaigns for Jewish unity, Jewish education, Torah, tefilin, mezuzah, charity, Jewish books, Shabbos and Festival candles, kosher food and drink, and Family Purity. This will further hasten the ultimate campaign: “And you shall be gathered one by one, O children of Israel” – G-d will take each and every Jew by the hand and lead him out of exile to our Holy Land, immediately in our times.

The Rebbi spoke from his heart. We all experience heartbreak. The Rebbi's was tangible. Our great Rebbi rose above all. G-d bless our Rebbi. Thank you. Reply
