Event Date: 27 Tishrei 5741 - October 07, 1980

In an army, there are certain times when the soldiers are intensively involved in training and active duty, while at other times they are granted time to rest.

The same is true of Tzivos Hashem – G-d’s Army. Although Jewish boys and girls are always “on duty,” their Commander-In-Chief, G-d Almighty, grants them special times when their duties are lightened a bit, and they are given a greater portion of the day to relax and enjoy.

The month of Tishrei is such a time. To be sure, Jewish children continue to act as befitting G-d’s soldiers – studying His Torah and observing His Mitzvos, as always. But during this month they are given more time for themselves, as well as to engage in the special activities unique to each holiday.

By month’s end, they are ready to return to their posts — rejuvenated for the study of Torah and reenergized to reach out and influence their friends to enlist in Tzivos Hashem as well.
