An address to the International Conference of Shluchim

Whenever Jews gather together the Divine Presence rests upon them. How much more so at this gathering, which is for the sake of bringing G-d’s Torah to every Jew across the globe.

It truly is a global mission, for it includes also the non-Jewish nations of the world. They have the responsibility to make this world a civilized place through the Seven Noahide Laws. The task of civilizing the entire world cannot be accomplished by the Jewish people alone. We can assist, but the work must be carried out by the non-Jewish nations themselves.

It is human nature that when a person knows that his action right now will affect him for many years to come, he gives it extra effort; and if he knows that it will affect his entire life, he throws himself into it even more. How much more so when you realize that your work will bring the Redemption and the eternal life that comes with it. You will then utilize all the powers you have been granted as representatives of G-d Himself.
