Rabbi Dovid Edelman is the Rebbe’s Shliach in Springfield, Massachusetts since 1950. During Hakafos at 770 on Simchas Torah 1973, he was standing right beside the Rebbe and was privy to a converation between the Rebbe and an Israeli military representative.
