Rabbi Menachem Hacohen served as a member in Israel’s Knesset for 15 years. At the time of his first private audience with the Rebbe in 1959, he was serving as Rabbi of Israel’s Moshav settlement movement, Rabbi and executive member of the Israeli Trade Union, and Chief Editor of Machanayim, the official publication of the IDF Rabbinate.
