Governor Mario Cuomo Baruch Dayan HaEmes. Governor Mario Cuomo will be remembered as one of New York's most beloved governors because he supported and signed the New York Get law requiring anyone divorcing a spouse in NY to remove all barriers to his spouse's remarriage. This requires any Jewish husband to give a Get to his Jewish wife to enable her to remarry under Jewish law when he divorces his wife under NY State law. I am very happy that one of the Cuomo family is governor again. Reply
