Not Alone

The events of the Rebbe’s liberation on Yud Beis Tammuz raise a fundamental question: How is it that one solitary individual was able to stand against a tyrannical world power?

This was not a case of one man relying on his own strength. Rather, he was acting as an agent and representative of Torah. When one goes as Torah’s agent, he goes with the strength of the entire Jewish nation, all generations past, and all future generations. In that case, logic dictates the very opposite: What could possibly intimidate him? Of what concern, and what strength, are hundreds of millions of people, compared to the thousands of millions of Jews of all generations!

The Rebbe left a well-trodden path for us. Every Jew – even the youngest among them – has the strength to shatter any remaining darkness in the world. The Rebbe left us the tools and the activities through which all darkness will disappear, until “Night will be bright as day” and “darkness itself will be transformed into light.”
