Understanding the Sacrifice: 1975

Moshe Levy was a sergeant in the IDF Special Forces during the Yom Kippur War. The unit he led defended the Budapest Outpost, the only Israeli bunker on the Suez Canal to withstand the Egyptian attack. He is one of only forty people to be awarded the Israel Hero Medal.

Moshe Levy, I am honored to feel in myself that he is the person I love and respect most in the world. In addition to being a hero, he is the personification of good on earth. It helps and has helped many people, including myself. He has mercy in the soul for those who suffer. His philosophy is unique because it is dictated by the heart. Impossible to equal it. It is wonderfully beautiful and instructive for the soul to hear him speak with his quiet and loving voice for, believe me anyone. I love you, indeed we love you. Reply

The Sacrifice Thank you, Moshe Levy, for rising up so high to bring G-d closer to us and thus overcoming our enemies against all odds. Thank you, your men and our G-d for allowing the Nation of Israel to remain in our homeland. Reply
