From Noah to the Nazis

A Jew might sometimes feel that he stands alone against the world around him. So even before reassuring him that there are indeed many others with him – above all, G-d Himself – we tell him the story of Noah: There was an entire generation in which there lived only one solitary righteous individual. But he overcame, and built a new world and a new way of life.

From Noah to the Nazis
Disc 67, Program 268

Event Date: 30 Tishrei 5743 - October 17, 1982

After the Great Flood, G-d swore to Noah to never again destroy civilization. If so, what relevance does this story have today? What “eternal message” does it offer?

A Jew might sometimes feel that he stands alone against the world around him. So even before reassuring him that there are indeed many others with him – above all, G-d Himself – we tell him the story of Noah: There was an entire generation in which there lived only one solitary righteous individual. But he overcame, and built a new world and a new way of life.

It doesn’t matter whether or not you think you’re strong enough, or whether or not you’re alone... When it comes to disseminating goodness, uprightness and justice – and most importantly, Torah and Mitzvos – one person can change the whole world.

very true This is an excellent video. The Rebbe is completely right. Do we not, at times, feel alone?
He has so much blessed insight.
