Greeting and Blessings:

I am pleased to acknowledge receipt of your felicitations and good wishes on the occasion of my birthday. I appreciate indeed your warm sentiments and good wishes.

These are all the more meaningful in view of your personal participation in the Farbrengen of the 11th of Nissan. It was good of you to come, and I was glad of the opportunity to exchange personal greetings and “l ’Chaim” with you.

The best way I can reciprocate your good wishes is to reiterate the Divine blessing to our Patriarch Abraham, “I will bless them that bless thee.” Accordingly, may you and all yours enjoy G‑d’s blessings “from His full, open, holy, and generous Hand.”

As we are now coming from Pesach, the “Season of our Liberation,” I take this opportunity of extending to you and yours my prayerful wishes for a growing measure of liberation from all distractions and hindrances, materially and spiritually, so as to serve G‑d with joy and gladness of heart.

Cordially yours,

M. Schneerson
