Greetings and blessings,

…I am enclosing my letter to…. Nevertheless, in addition to that, from your side, you will certainly undertake to explain to him that for members of the chassidic brotherhood, and for descendants of the members of the chassidic brotherhood, even in the previous eras, it was impossible [to progress] without the study of the teachings of Chassidus. How much more so in these days, and particularly for the youth, is this our only comfort and hope to hold strong and maintain ourselves in the double and redoubled darkness of this bitter exile. As is well known from the analogy of dawn: Right before daybreak, the darkness and the desire to sleep become very strong. Words from the heart enter the heart.1 May it be G‑d’s will that you share good news in this regard.

With blessing,

M. Schneerson
