Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letters. When I visited the gravesite of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, I read your pan,1 according to the points you mentioned within. I was happy to read in your letter of 13 Nissan that some of the [matters] have already been corrected as you acknowledge. Certainly, [in the future,] you will see how the situation will improve, with overt and apparent goodness, regarding the other matters.

…With regard to your assessment that you suffer from a hyperactive heart. It is almost a certainty that this is merely a product of your imagination or, at the most, a result of nervousness. In order to satisfy your own mind, you should certainly visit a doctor who is an expert in this field and follow his instructions.

This is what you should do from the perspective of the natural order. Looking from the inner dimension, you should firmly affix your thought — with the simple faith possessed by all Jews who are “believers, the sons of believers”2 — that G‑d, Who created the world 5711 years ago, creates the world anew each and every moment and conducts it according to His will. He is the ultimate of good and it is the nature of the good to do good. Therefore it is obvious that this includes your personal matters as well. G‑d is the Master over your life and your personal matters, and He will lead you to your desired destination. (And the inner desire of every Jew [is to follow the Torah and its mitzvos]. Therefore, (even) when a person is forced to say “I desire” [to carry out a directive] obligated by the Torah, he is considered to have willingly consented.3 )

May it be G‑d’s will that He lead you with overtly revealed love, with kindness and with mercy. You should remove all thoughts of nervousness and the like from your mind. A chassid must be healthy, not only spiritually, but also physically, so that he personally — as a result of his own efforts — can fulfill the mission for which his soul descended to this lowly material and physical world.

With blessings that you will soon share good tidings concerning all the above,

From one who seeks your welfare,
