This letter was addressed to R. Yitzchak Yaakov Minkowitz.
B”H, 9 Tammuz, 5708
Greetings and blessings,
Your letter was received. As is my custom, I related what you wrote concerning the gathering of the year 56701 and that you were present there. I added the question why [the meeting] was held in a hotel. My revered father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita, answered me: “Concerning him, asking such a question is out of place.”
I received pleasure from the fact that he answered with the satisfaction that stems from chassidic assertiveness.
Enclosed is the kuntreis for the Festival of Redemption (12-13 Tammuz). [It is being sent] to allow others to gain merit by making it available to them.
With greetings to all the members of our fellowship,
Rabbi Menachem Schneerson
You will certainly continue recording the holy sichos and the events that you remember, and [indeed, do so] more profusely. With thanks from the outset.
