This letter was addressed to R. Chanoch Hendel Havlin, one of the members of the Lubavitch community in Jerusalem.

B”H, 24 Adar II, 5708

Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter of 7 Adar II. In the interim, my letter together with the kuntreis for Purim certainly reached you.

a) The account for the texts was already sent....1

c) I heard that Rabbi Glitzenstein had [his text], The Biography of the Alter Rebbe, printed in [the monthly publication Sinai, and The Biography of the Mitteler Rebbe printed in another [publication].2 I hope he changed the points in his previous text, HaRav, which I cited in my letter [to him].3 For it is unfortunate that misinformation continues to spread....1

e) Enclosed is a kuntreis for 2 Nissan. Certainly you will share it with others, [increasing] the merit of people at large.

f) I am acknowledging receipt of the copy of your letter to R. Dubov. I hope, as you requested, to make some notations [that are appropriate] according to my humble opinion when I am freed somewhat from the factors preoccupying me.

With wishes for everlasting good in all matters and with greetings to all those who send good wishes,

Rabbi Menachem Schneerson
