This letter was addressed to R. David Bravman, a chassid who was charged with overseeing the publication of texts of Chassidus in Germany after WWII.

B”H, 22 Adar II, 5708

Greetings and blessings,

In response to your letter of 9 Adar II. I will respond briefly because of the holiness of the Shabbos [which is approaching]:

a) Certainly, you received my letter with the kuntreis of Purim.

b) We have received here 1010 copies of Sifreinu, Vol. II. Nevertheless, it is Vol. I that is needed more urgently.

c) My revered father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita, desires to print the entire S’dei Chemed on the most attractive paper and use the most attractive binding. Please investigate the opportunities and the prices for this. ([We are speaking of] approximately 4500 pages in eight volumes.)

d) I will send the prefaces in the coming days.

e) Enclosed is a kuntreis for 2 Nissan that is approaching.

With wishes for everlasting good in all matters,

Rabbi Menachem Schneerson
